Derby Day @ Julep Saturday, doors open at noon 1919 Washington

Get your hats and bowties ready! In honor of the Kentucky Derby, this Southern cocktailery is throwing a Derby Day Party worthy of the ponies. The full schedule of horse races will be shown on the patio, where there will also be cocktail service and a julep cart. The main event -- the most exciting two minutes in sports -- takes place at 5:24 p.m. Julep will also be serving a full food menu inside, and Ben Berg, who will soon be opening B&R Butchers down the street, will be serving food outside. Expect some patio games, live music, a photo booth and prizes, too.

Houston Food Truck Fest @ Stereo Live Saturday, noon - 5 p.m. 6400 Richmond

This all-out patio party features live music, a DJ, a magician, karaoke, a bounce house, a big screen, face painting, strolling mimes, and 20 of your favorite food trucks, of course. Enjoy drinks and beer specials all day alongside awesome eats from D'Lish Curbside, Maine-ly Sandwiches, Muiishi Makirritos, and more. Tickets are available in four-packs for $40, as well as individually for $18 per person an $5 per child (age 6 to 12). Children under 6 are free.

Cinco de Mayo Street Fest @ El Big Bad Saturday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. 419 Travis

You can expect contortionists, fire-breathers, live music, and plenty of liquid nitrogen frozen margs at El Big Bad's indoor/outdoor Street Fest. Hit it up for crawfish and food and drink specials all day long, plus two optional VIP packages that can be purchased in advance or the day of.

Cinco de Mayo Party @ Pistolero's Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m 1517 Westheimer

Celebrate "Cinco de Drinko" at this parking lot fiesta, featuring live performances by Young Mammals, YOUNG GIRLS, and The Party Factory, plus Dj FREDster and super hip shop Pop Shop Houston. Party while you sip on $3 margaritas and new tequila infusions all day long.
