Catch an outdoor showing on the big screen, plus a lineup of awesome food trucks – including Mahalo Munchies, Foreign Policy, Smoosh Cookies, and The Lunchbox Food Truck. Dinner and DJ starts at 6 p.m.; Movie starts at 8:30 p.m. Come hungry and don’t forget your chairs and blankets!

In honor of America’s birthday, Arnaldo Richards' Pico’s will be offering 4th of July specials all weekend long. Kids under the age of 10 can enjoy free hamburgers and hot dogs, while the adults take down two-for-$20 fajitas and $6 shaker margaritas.

Kolaches are coming! Kick Independence Day off with Revival’s killer rendition of Houston’s favorite treats. They’ll will be offering four varietals (two kolaches and two klobasneks) – a Texas Peach & Bourbon; Local Red Plum & Ginger, Kielbasa & Cheddar; and Smoked Chicken Sausage. Come early if you want your pick of the good stuff because these babies almost always sell out. They'll also be selling holiday provisions for your 4th of July Feast until 2 p.m. Get house made all beef dogs and brats, charcuterie, hamburgers and all the fixin’s, plus house made local peach pies.

Celebrate America with a Fourth of July blowout at these Heights area favorites. Start at D&T for beer and food specials, games, and all-American fun. Then at 4 p.m., mosey over to Johnny's to continue the party. A free shuttle will provide transportation between the two party spots from 4 p.m. to midnight, with parking available at Johnny's, D&T, and Down House.

Enter for $20 for your chance to win prizes (winner gets $50 cash, $100 gift card and a T-shirt) and the ultimate glory. The contest will follow ESPN rules: eat as many weenies as you can in ten minutes. Proceeds will benefit The Center. There will also be a dunking booth on the patio and a fantastic view of the fireworks!
