Sunday, February 22 is officially National Margarita Day, and Houston is shaking, stirring and pouring its way into the celebration. From $2 frozen ‘ritas to fancy tequila riffs, local bars and restaurants are rolling out specials, flights and inventive takes on the city’s favorite cocktail. Here’s where to grab your next glass and raise a toast.

Arnaldo Richards’ Picos Restaurant, 3601 Kirby

February 22 only: get two house margaritas and two tacos for $26.

Axelrad, 1517 Alabama

Hit the cocktail garden to celebrate National Margarita Day with $5 House Margaritas made with tequila, triple sec, lime and simple syrup.

Bayou Heights Biergarten, 3905 Washington

Try the Quiet Life Rita special for $12 (normally $16), a frozen mix of Blanco tequila, lime, mint, parsley, dry curaçao and agave, perfect for sipping on the patio.

Betelgeuse Betelgeuse, 2101 Washington, 4500 Montrose

From open until 8 p.m. on February 22, grab BOGO Hornitos Blanco Margaritas or BOGO Amaras Verde Mezcal Margaritas (one per person), the limited-time $14 Clarified and Carbonated Peach Margarita and $7 El Tesoro Single Barrel Reposado shots.

Escalante’s, multiple locations
Buy one margarita, get half-off the Perfect Margarita featuring 100 percent blue agave Jose Cuervo Tradicional (dine-in only).

Heights & Co., 1343 Yale St
Score $7 classic margaritas all weekend, and on Sunday, sip the full menu of flavored margaritas for the same price, including Watermelon Cooler, Ancho Mezcal, St. Margarita, Agua Fresca and Sicilian Margarita.

Jethro’s Cocktail Lounge, 95 Tuam

Grab three specialty Margaritas all weekend: the Clarified Margarita, Charred Pineapple Margarita and Strawberry Hibiscus Margarita, priced at $13 each.

Johnny Ritas Cocina y Cantina, 5602 Fulton

The Lindale Park newcomer serves brunch 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a lineup of signature Margaritas: Rita’s Rocks & Frozen $10, Black Card $19 (Grand Marnier and fresh orange juice), and Frozen Strawberry Basil $14. Margaritas are also available to go by the half gallon ($50) or full gallon ($90). 

Mambo Seafood, multiple locations

Celebrating 30 years, Mambo offers Frozen House ‘Ritas for $3 in Lime, Strawberry, Chamoy, Mango and Tamarindo across its 13 Houston locations.

Mexican Sugar, 3505 West Dallas
From February 20 through March 2, The Tejas Flight features a Prickly Pear Sorbet Margarita, Texas Margarita and Jalapeño Margarita, each with inventive local twists and Henry’s Ice Cream sorbet.

Monkey’s Tail, 5802 Fulton
Celebrate all weekend with Hornitos margaritas and frozen specials. Sunday, February 22 features crawfish, an Amaras tasting booth 2 to 4 p.m., Loteria from 4 to 6:30 p.m. and DJ beats ‘til 9.

Nobu Houston, 5115 Westheimer

Nobu Houston is rolling out an elevated take on the Margarita: the Noburita. Made with Nobu Tequila by Qui, Grand Marnier Centenaire, lime and agave, it’s finished with Maldon sea salt and served over a signature Nobu ice cube.

On the Kirb, multiple locations
Enjoy three all-organic, wellness-forward margaritas – Cucumber Aloe Vera, Ginger Cayenne, Blueberry Lemon – available as cocktails or zero-proof mocktails. 

The Original Ninfa’s,  2704 Navigation, 1700 Post Oak

Houston’s classic Margarita Day spot pours the Ninfarita (100 percent Weber blue agave, frozen or on the rocks) for $7 all day. Also on deck: $10 Uptown Margarita (regular $15), $10 Navigation Margarita (regular $15) and Margarita Flights for $15. 

Pour Behavior, 2211 Travis
On February 21–22, grab a Margarita Madness flight for $25, including Berry Organic Margarita, Smoked Pineapple Frozen Margarita and Blueberry Habanero Margarita.

Reset Lounge, 606 Dennis

The Midtown stop is an easy choice for a low-key National Margarita Day, with happy hour running all day Sunday. Keep it simple with a $6 Margarita made with Espolon Tequila, triple sec and fresh lime. 

Sylvia’s Enchilada Kitchen, 6401 Woodway, 1140 Eldridge Parkway

Both locations are teaming up with Astral Tequila to pour three specialty Margaritas at happy hour prices all day long. Choose from a classic made with 100 percent Blue Agave Astral Tequila Blanco, the Smokin’ Piña Verde with grilled pineapple and cilantro, or the Astral Premium Margarita crafted with Lobos 1707 Tequila Reposado.

The Union Kitchen, multiple locations

On February 22, all locations are pouring a $20 Margarita Flight made with El Jimador Blanco Tequila. The trio includes a Classic, Strawberry Serrano and Cucumber Mint.

Willie’s Grill & Icehouse, multiple locations

Celebrate National Margarita Day with $3 Small House Ritas (Regular, Strawberry, Swirled), $3 Shiner Vodka Boozy Cherry Limeades and $3 Prickly Pear Ritas (where available).
