Houston McDonald's Are Giving Away These Weird-As-Hell Frorks on Friday

Back on Monday, May 1, McDonald’s revealed its newest wacky invention, the Frork, a fry-pronged fork, that the company refers to as "a quasi-utensil," one made for scooping up sandwich spills from its new line of Signature Crafted Recipes and then eating off the fry prongs. Sounds like a lot of work just to put the fries in the frork and use it, but just in case this is unclear: Make sure to order fries, so you can, you know, use your quasi-utensil.

The Frork is the second bizarre McDonald's invention to launch in 2017, which also includes the STRAW, or Suction Tube for Reverse Axial Withdrawal, a high-tech straw meant for better milkshake drinking, though it looks and sounds like some important part that came off your pet hamster's water dispenser. One hopes the STRAW and Frork won't be the last of these weirdo McDonald's utensils, which if anything might be stockpiled to use as shank-worthy weaponry against cannibals and leather daddies in the impending Cormac McCarthian apocalypse.

McDonald's will make it a tad easier to stockpile these in your end times bunker by offering complimentary Frorks (to paying customers, natch) on Friday, May 5. Various Houston McDonald’s locations will be giving them away when customers purchase one of the new Signature Crafted Recipes sandwiches, which will set you back a little more than $5 a piece. Customers will also receive a free medium fry and soft drink with the purchase of a Signature Crafted Recipes sandwich from May 4 through May 8.
