Support the independent voice of Houston and help keep the future of Houston Press free.
Menu of Menus is less than a week away, and we have a spread of new restaurants that have been added to the tasting line-up:
Artisans Cuisine & Savior-Faire Green Seed Vegan Gumbo Express.com House of Blues Los Cucos Michiru Sushi Nazif's Turkish Grill Sorrel Urban Bistro
If you haven't made it out to brand-new spots like Michiru Sushi or if our recent review of Nazif's Turkish Grill piqued your curiosity, now's your chance to try a bunch of our favorite restaurants all in one place -- no driving all around town required.
Tickets are currently on sale, with general admission going for $50 and a limited supply of VIP tickets for $90. The cost of the general admission ticket goes up to $60 at the door, but as of right now, it's looking as though Menu of Menus will sell out before that happens. So seriously -- get your passes now while you still can. Remember: A portion of the proceeds goes to benefit Kids' Meals.
Menu of Menus kicks off at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9 at Silver Street Station, sponsored by Stella Artois and Izkali Tequila (which will both be giving out generous samples all night long). The second annual Iron Fork competition will begin at 8 p.m., sponsored by Whole Foods Market, and will pit industry heavyweights Ryan Hildebrand against Kevin Naderi in a live, head-to-head cooking contest.
Here's a full list of restaurants participating in this year's Menu of Menus -- where we'll see you in just six short days:

Keep the Houston Press Free... Since we started the Houston Press, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Houston, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
