New Smashburger to Make Food Bank Donations

The burger import from Denver, Smashburger, opened its new location in West University this week. The 2,150 square foot restaurant at 5520 Buffalo Speedway seats a maximum of 96 diners.

To celebrate this latest bit of good fortune for the company that cooks its 100 percent fresh not frozen Angus beef by smashing it on a flat grill -- and to bring in good-hearted patrons -- this new location and the three other Houston Smashburgers will donate $1 from every sale between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. this Saturday to the Houston Food Bank.

While you're there, be sure and try the Smashburger fries and their milk shakes and malts made with Haagen-Dazs ice cream. They also smash chicken.
