From elegant four-course affairs complete with plenty of bubbly to fun, family-friendly brunches, here's where to dine in Houston this New Year's Eve:

Aces of Taste Presents Destination: Paris, 1310 Nance

This private New Year’s Eve dining and dancing experience features a four-course French meal beginning at 7:30 p.m., followed by Parisian-style partying until 2 a.m. Guests can enjoy just the dinner, just the party, or both. The dinner cost starts at $95 pre-sale and features dishes such as foie gras mousse and huckleberry jam with toated brioche, a duo of duck and blueberry clafouti. The Parisan Party starts at $75 and includes passed appetizers until 11 p.m,, four drink tickets, a midnight toast, and DJs from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. The combo cost starts at $140. Join Arnaldo Richards’ Picos for a one-of-a-kind "New Years Eve in Havana" celebration, held from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. All tickets include a welcome cocktail and two drink tickets, a four-course dinner, live entertainment, dance floor and photo booth, a cigar lounge with complimentary cigar rolling station, and Champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $175 or $200 for VIP (including cigar lounge bar, specialty gifts throughout the evening and take-away bags).

On Saturday, December 31, Bistro Provence, 13616 Memorial, will host two special multi-course dinners which will accommodate all plans for this annual night of celebration. Want to dine early and party elsewhere? With one-hour seating times beginning at 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., owner Genevieve Guy has created a three-course seasonal French menu which includes choices for each course. The cost for this one-hour pre-party dinner is $45 per person, not including beverages, tax or gratuity. For those wishing to celebrate in a more leisurely style, the restaurant is presenting two-hour seatings with a more extensive menu focusing on one of France’s most beautiful culinary areas. The more leisurely two-hour dinners can be reserved for 6 to 6:30 or 8 to 8:30 p.m. and conclude with complimentary glasses of Voirin Jumel Grand Cru Blancs de Blanc NV Champagne with dessert. The cost is $85 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

The steakhouse will be open and offering a four-course NYE menu ($99 per person) from 5 to 10 p.m. Feast on dishes such as King crab cake, lobster corn dogs, pea and leek soup, filet with exotic mushroom cream, Berkshire double-bone pork chop and apple strudel.

Chef Sidney Degaine of Café Azur has created a three-course prix fixe menu, with highlights including Terrine de Foie Gras with fig chutney, mixed greens and toast; New Zealand Venison chop served with caramelized celery roots, roasted parsnip and fresh cranberries with a winter sauce; and pistachio and white chocolate dacquoise served with french liquor cherry. Cost is $100 per person without the wine pairing and $150 per person with the wine pairing. The restaurant will offer two seatings at 5:30 and 8:30 p.m.

Open from 5 p.m., Charivari will be offering a create-your-own NYE menu for $95 per person. Choose from dishes such as pumpkin lobster bisque, wild mushroom ravioli with black winter truffle, pan-fried foie gras with marsala reduction, beef filet tournedos, “schnitzel Charivari,” and Swiss chocolate hazelnut tart.

Midtown Italian restaurant Damian's will be offering a three-course New Year's Eve dinner menu for $49.95 and will feature Sicilian dishes including starters like the Tomatoes Caprese, Verde Gorgonzola; entrees' Snapper Firenze, Filetto con Marsala, Eggplant Parmigiana; and Tuscan Bread Pudding or Italian Cream Cake for dessert.

Join the neighborhood restaurant and bar for dinner and help raise a glass (or two) to say so long to 2016. This year's event features a four-course menu by head chef Kent Domas, complimentary wine and cocktail pairings, and a DJ playing all night long. Tickets cost $80, and with each ticket, guests will receive a drink ticket good for one champagne cocktail to ring in the new year at midnight redeemable at either Johnny's Gold Brick or Canard, both conveniently located in the Heights. Seatings are available from 7 to 10 p.m.

Offering a specialized á la carte NYE menu, alongside the regular dinner menu, the chef will begin the evening with a complimentary amuse-bouche and a mignardise to top off the meal. Three drink pairings will be offered with the specials menu, alongside discounted bottles of champagne and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. The kitchen will close at 11 p.m. and the restaurant at 12:30 a.m.

This family-friendly NYE offers a Brazilian buffet and cash bar from 8:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Etoile Cuisine et Bar, 1101-11 Uptown Park, 832-668-5808

The French eatery will be offering pre-fixed menu for $76 per person. Enjoy dishes such as duck foie gras “au torchon” with toasted brioche and prune mousseline, filet of sea bass beurre blanc, and sous-vide 1855 Farm beef tenderloin with porcini mushroom sauce. Finish with a Valrhona chocolate dessert.

Fielding's Local Kitchen + Bar, 26400 Kuykendahl, 281-351-2225
Enjoy a NYE celebration, with a three-course early seating menu available for $59 per person from 5 to 8 p.m. and a four-course late seating menu with live music, champagne toast and balloon drop for $109 per person from 8 to 11 p.m. On Sunday, ring in the new year with brunch favorites, mimosa and bloody Mary flights, and chef's specials. Space is limited.

The restaurant will be offering Three Days of New Year's Brunch, from Friday, December 30 through Sunday, January 1.  Guests can enjoy French toast, eggs benedict, omelets, Bloody Mary and Mimosa flight await you at Fielding's Wood Grill to end 2016 and kick the new year off right.

Fogo de Chao - The Woodlands is offering a wonderful VIP experience. For $125 per person, guests can enjoy a seated meal in the semi-private section, including the gourmet salad bar and all-you-can-dine experience, a lavish seafood buffet, bottle of wine from a pre-selected wine list or three drinks per person, dessert, bubbles toast at midnight and $25 gift card for a return visit.

Four Seasons Hotel Houston, 1300 Lamar, 713-650-1300

Four Seasons Hotel Houston will have two dinner seatings on New Year’s Eve - one at 5:30 p.m. and one at 8:30 p.m. The first seating will include a three course menu for $85 per person. A wine pairing with two wine options in three ounce portions will be available for $20. Guests will be seated until 6:30 p.m. The second seating will include a five course menu for $110 per person. A wine pairing with four wine options in three ounce portions will be available for $40. Only the second seating will include dancing, live music and a champagne toast at midnight. Vinoteca at the Four Seasons will be seating guests at the bar on a first-come, first-served basis, with a minimum spend of $30 at the bar after 8 p.m. Akia Uwanda will perform throughout the evening, and party favors will be distributed.

Ring in the New Year at Helen Greek Food and Wine with an ancient Greek dinner that will feature all-Greek wines unable to be found anywhere else in the city. There will be two seatings at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tickets are $200 per person and can be purchased at eventbrite.com.

Holley’s Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar, 3201 Louisiana #101; 713-491-2222
The Midtown hotspot will be open for NYE dinner from 5 to 10 p.m, offering an a la carte menu as well as a four-course tasting menu for $85. Enjoy a choice of dishes including Texas Caviar, Hudson Valley Fois Gras, Seafood Charcuterie, Potato-Crusted Gulf Snapper and Lemon Brick Cornish Hen.

Upstairs, Hungry's bar and lounge concept in the recently opened Hungry's restaurant in Rice Village, will open with a New Year's Eve celebration and the option to dine in the restaurant downstairs. Tickets are available for four celebration offerings on New Year's Eve. A four-course prix fixe NYE dinner with choice of selections at Hungry’s at 9 p.m. costs $60 per person. General admission and VIP packages are also available and include bar bites, a midnight champagne toast, balloon drop and music by DJ DelSur.

The restaurant at LeNôtre cooking school will host a Delightful New Year’s Eve Celebration. Attendees will be treated to a full, unique fine—dining buffet of gourmet dishes while dancing the night away with Houston's favorite Pop and Disco twosome, Bubba & Greg Duo. Chef Nicole Routhier of Le Colonial in River Oaks District is crafting a special three- and four-course menu to ring in the New Year. The restaurant will offer seatings at 4 p.m., priced at $65 per person, and 8 p.m. for $125 per person. The first seating offers a three-course dinner and the second seating will feature a "gala” style, four-course dinner with a live band, party favors and a champagne toast. The upstairs lounge will be available for diners as well as party-goers who want to forgo dinner. A $50 cover will be in effect after 9 p.m.
