Are you one of those poor people whose social calendar is just far too busy on Saturday afternoons to make the weekly Saint Arnold tours, but -- for some reason -- have weekday afternoons free? Then the brewery boys have great news for you!
Starting in 2010, the brewery will be offering tours at its new facility (2000 Lyons) six times a week: On the standard Saturdays and now also every weekday afternoon starting at 3 p.m. Unlike the weekend tours, however, the weekday tours are a slightly more sedate affair. Guests will be admitted to the brewery between 3 and 3:30 p.m. and allowed four samples each. The taps will close promptly at 4 p.m., giving you around an hour to do those samples justice.
As with the weekend tours, you're always welcome to bring food and children -- as long as the food smells delicious and the children are accompanied by their parent(s). The tour costs $7 a person and includes a souvenir glass.
The new tours will begin on December 28, so prepare now by asking for the afternoon off and cleaning out your pint glasses so you can get those full pours at the taps. We're sure your boss won't mind.
