If you love happy hour as much as we do, you'll love this new series. We're taking a look at the best happy hours in town, 'hood by 'hood. To narrow it down, we're focusing on the spots with the best deals on not only drinks, but eats, too. From upscale eateries serving bar bites and half-priced wine to dives with cheap beer and burgers, we've got it all. See the complete list at the end of this post

This week, we're moving on to the bar-and-resto-packed hood of Midtown, where there are almost too many awesome spots to name. While happy hours at laidback bars like Little Woodrow's, The Dogwood, Saint Dane's, and Celtic Gardens don't disappoint, we've put an emphasis on the places with the best bang for your buck.

Honorable mention: Free finger foods at Piola's bar and $6 to $8 teasers and elixirs at Mr. Peeples.

Sparrow Bar + Cookshop Tuesday through Saturday 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

While the "Bar + Bite" menu is available Tuesday through Saturday from 2 p.m. to midnight, this modern-rustic eatery offers it at half-off during happy hour. That means you can nosh on bacon-and-chorizo-stuffed dates, classic mac and cheese, and a fat bison burger alongside a selection of 10 expertly-crafted cocktails without breaking the bank.

Reef Monday through Friday 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

While (sadly) Reef's $1 slider special is a thing of the past, you can still get a duo of the plump patties along with a selection of other house appetizers for $5 during happy hour. They come fat and juicy and smothered with caramelized onions, so we'd still call that a win. You can also dig into the restaurant's famous fried mac and cheese, fried oysters with sriracha remoulade, or a tomato and mozzarella pizza before washing it all down with half-price cocktails. Like we said, YOU WIN.

Community Bar Weekdays 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Sometimes, you just want cheap drinks at a dark, cozy bar. You'll find $2 beers at this neighborhood dive, but you'll also find some pretty stellar craft cocktails for $1 off. Take the Moscow Mule, for example -- the house favorite is made with house-brewed ginger beer. The food is no joke either. Get a juicy, bigger-than-your-head ribeye and two sides for just $17 on Tuesday Steak Night; and on Wednesdays, gorge yourself on all kinds of $2 tacos.

Cook & Collins Monday to Saturday 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

This funky eatery opened up shop to help bring a restaurant crowd to Midtown. And we're so happy they did. Feast on a selection of half-priced appetizers, including the buffalo-chili-cheese-and-hot-sauce-smothered red eye fries (pictured above), sweet and spicy boneless chicken bites, mushroom and goat cheese flatbread, and more. Of course, it's not allllll about the food. You'll get $2 off some seriously good mixed drinks and wines by the glass, too.

Brennan's of Houston Daily 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Feel like treating yourself? Brennan's Courtyard Bar 7-7-7 Menu has seven cocktails, appetizers, and wines for $7 each. Dive into upscale takes on Southern-style comfort food -- like absinthe-and-oyster-splashed mac and cheese, a bbq shrimp waffle with goat cheese grits, or cane-roasted duck chili -- alongside a glass of Syrah or Chardonnay. They also make one hell of a Tom Collins. Just sayin'.
