9th Annual Empty Bowls Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 4848 Main
The Houston Center for Contemporary Craft once again hosts one of the city's most unique fundraisers tomorrow afternoon. For a donation of $25, guests will receive one of 1,200 original ceramic bowls -- each hand-crafted by a local artist -- along with a simple lunch of soup, bread and water. Your $25 donation goes directly to the Houston Food Bank. According to Empty Bowls chairman Tom Perry, that $25 can "provide 75 meals; or from another perspective, it can feed 25 people in need three nutritious meals for a day."
