7th Annual Niko Niko's World Gyro-Eating Championship @ Houston Greek Fest Sunday, 2 p.m. 1100 Eldridge Parkway
Houston Greek Fest takes place this weekend, and on Sunday, Niko Niko's will host the Greek Gyro Eating Contest to find out who can eat the most gyros in ten minutes. So, after you tour the St. Basil the Great Greek Orthodox Church and nosh on souvlaki, spanakopita and baklava, head over to the Gyro-Eating Championship; after seeing these competitors shove gyros down their throats as quickly as they can, you might lose your appetite, so we suggest eating before. Tickets to enter the Houston Greek Fest cost $3 for adults and are free for children 10 and under.
