Grand Opening at On the Kirb Greenway Plaza

Organic eatery and sports bar On the Kirb will officially celebrate the opening its fourth location in Greenway Plaza on Friday. Folks can hang at the 5,800 square foot space, outfitted with three giant video walls as well as 25 flatscreens and enjoy a menu featuring fresh, local produce, organic meats and organic free-range dairy and poultry. And in honor of the grand opening and in celebration of the Texans game, enjoy half-off organic grass-fed burgers, organic wings, all chef specials and all winter cocktails, only at the Greenway location.

Raclette Party on the Patio at Montrose Cheese & Wine

Enjoy melty cheese and an après-ski style spread as Montrose Cheese & Wine hosts another fan-favorite Raclette Party on the Patio. Enjoy raclette cheese melted and scraped straight from the wheel, served generously over potatoes, caramelized onions, cornichons, and baguette slices, and optional charcuterie from 1 p.m. until the cheese runs out.

Kriti Kitchen is celebrating its second anniversary with the launch of weekend brunch this Sunday. Specials include $2 Saffron Sparklers and Mimosas, along with Loukomades and classic brunch dishes from Bougatsa and Spana Omelet to Mizithrapita, a cheese-stuffed pancake topped with honey and nut crumble.

Dine Out Rice Village

All weekend and month long

Rice Village and Southern Smoke Foundation have teamed up for exclusive dining experience Dine Out Rive Village. Throughout January, participating Rice Village restaurants — D’Amico’s, Hamsa, Milton’s and Navy Blue — are offering prix-fixe menus or featured items, with a portion of proceeds benefiting SSF. Dig into salatim and skewers at modern Israeli steakhouse Hamsa, chargrilled oysters and chicken parm at Milton’s, and more.

Galveston Restaurant Week

All weekend and month long

Running through Sunday, February 2, Galveston Restaurant Week offers the perfect way to visit the island and eat good for a cause. Participating restaurants will feature discounted prix fixe menus in benefit of United Way of Galveston, Galveston’s Own Farmers Market’s community-based food programs and Family Service Center of Galveston County. Two or three-course dinners run $20 to $60, two-course lunches are $10 to $30, and brunches will be priced $10 to $40.
