Mark your calendars, because you donโ€™t want to miss these deliciously fun culinary happenings:

In honor of April being Parkinson’s Awareness Month, HAPS will host its 7th annual Blues, Brews, and BBQ fundraiser on Sunday, April 27 from noon to 4 p.m. at Wicklow Heights, 1027 West 19th. Guests can expect local Blues bands, ace barbecue and good times while supporting our local Parkinson’s community. GA tickets are $45 with VIP options for $75.

On Sunday, April 27, Paella Sunday brings a live-fire seafood paella experience to the patio at Mutiny Wine Room, 1124 Usener, with seatings at 1, 4, and 6:30 p.m. Cost is $38/person, optional wine pairings and bites available.

On Monday, April 28, chef Abbas Dhanani of Burger Bodega, 4520 Washington, will host a “Burger Omakase” dinner with James Beard finalist and chef Thomas Bille of Belly of the Beast.
Guests can expect a multi-course tasting menu that goes beyond burgers, followed by a dessert course by Underground Creamery. Reservations are ($120) are available at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.

On Monday, April 28, Le Jardinier, 5500 Main, will celebrate spring with Flavors in Bloom: A Dinner Series Celebrating Spring โ€“ a Michelin-starred, five-course dinner by Alain Verzeroli and chef Felipe Botero. For $195, guests can indulge in vibrant dishes like poached white asparagus, Maine lobster, wagyu striploin and mango bliss desser; and add optional pairings for $125 or $185 premium. Reservations are available via Resy.

Folks can check out theย new Courtyard Bar at Brennan’s of Houston, 3300 Smith, with a four-course dinner and wine pairing on Thursday, May 1. Dig into BBQ Shrimp and Grits, Creole Lamb Meatballs and Steak Stanley, each paired with a thoughtfully selected wine from Ridge Vineyards. Ticketsย are $118 plus tax and gratuity.ย 

On Sunday, May 4, Marvinoโ€™s Italian Steakhouse, 24002 Northwest Freeway, invites guests to a refined Rosรฉ Brunch, featuring three courses paired with exceptional rosรฉs from the Cรดtes de Provence region of France before finishing with a final celebratory glass. Dine on Smoked Salmon and Avocado Tartine, Lobster Eggs Benedict and more. Brunch begins at noon and cost is $69 per person (plus tax and gratuity).

Houston Food Bank’s 25th Annual Chefs’ Dinner is back on Tuesday, May 6 at the Hotel ZaZa โ€“ Museum District, 5701 Main. Guests can enjoy a seated, five-course gourmet wine dinner prepared by five featured Houston chefsโ€“including Hugo Ortega of H Town Restaurant Group and Evelyn Garcia of Jร…ยซn. Funds raised will go to providing nutritious food and wrap-around services to the approximately one million people who are considered food-insecure in southeast Texas. Individual tickets start at $750 with additional sponsorship opportunities available; and the evening kicks off at 7:30 p.m.ย
