Mark your calendars, because you donโ€™t want to miss these deliciously fun culinary happenings:

Menus are officially live for the 2025 Eat Drink HTX event, a two-week long foodie event from the team behind Houston Restaurant Weeks. Running February 15โ€“28, the casual dining experience features prix-fixe brunch, lunch, and dinner menus at a lower price point than HRW. This yearโ€™s lineup includes Be More Pacific, Cowboys & Indians, Duck N Bao, Kriti Kitchen, Pok Pok Po, Travelerโ€™s Cart and more.

Houston’s beer hall opera company, HOPERA, is presenting Flights of Fancy (with Fancy Flights!), a free recital pairing music with local beers on Sunday, February 16; Tuesday, February 18 and Sunday, February 23. Each recital will be held at a different local brewery, with February 16 at Equal Parts Brewing, 3118 Harrisburg; February 18 at Eureka Heights Brewery, 941 West 18th; and February 23 at Saint Arnold, 2000 Lyons.

The Mardi Gras! Galveston celebrations are taking over the island, from| Friday, February 21 through Fat Tuesday, March 4. Expect weekend parades with millions of beads, lively concerts, balcony parties, and festive food and drink.

National Margarita Day falls on Saturday, February 22, and all of the H Town Restaurant Group Mexican concepts โ€“ Hugoโ€™s, Caracol, Xochi and Urbe โ€“ will be celebrating. Get โ€œThe Greatest Margarita Ever Soldโ€ for $18 (usually $29), featuring 25-year-aged Grand Marnier and wood-aged Anejo Tequila from Gran Centenario. House margaritas will also be available at all restaurants for just $10.

Ahead of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, the 2025 Rodeo Uncorked! Roundup & Best Bites Competition returns to NRG Center on Sunday, February 23. The fan-favorite event highlights offers a look at more than 450 award-winning wines and over 100 signature dishes from the areaโ€™s top restaurants and culinary institutions. Tickets start at $165.

Garden & Gun returns to Houstonโ€™s famed TRUTH BBQ, 110 South Heights, to kick off the 2025 Houston Rodeo with the lively Rodeo Smoke Show celebration on Saturday, March 1. The special evening will feature live music, craft cocktails and a makersโ€™ market with artisan wares by top names in Western goods, all along Lone Star state-inspired stations by chef Leonard Botello and team featuring a crawfish boil, smoked meats, a combination of classic and unconventional sides and decadent desserts. Tickets are $115.ย
