The Post Oak Hotel, 1600 West Loop South, invites wine enthusiasts to a Rodeo Uncorked! Blind Tasting with Master Sommelier Julie Dalton on Tuesdays, March 11 and 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. Guests can sip through a blind tasting of eight wines and try to decipher which three won the top awards at the Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition. Tickets are $125 per person and also include a charcuterie spread, curated to complement each wine pairing.
The Bastion Collection presents La Belle Vita, a two-part culinary journey across the Riviera with chefs Felipe Botero (Le Jardinier) and Michael Lara (Tavola). On Thursday, March 13, guests can indulge in a four-course feast ($175) blending French and Italian flavors โ think citrus-cured Ora King salmon, shellfish ravioli, tea-spiced duck ร lโorange, and a decadent tiramisu โ at Tavola, 1800 Post Oak. The experience continues April 15 at Le Jardinier. Reservations are available via OpenTable.
On Sunday, March 16, the Midtown Wine Fest will take place at Guadalupe Plaza Park, 2311 Runnels. Folksc can sip and sample from over 40 amazing wines alongside access to local bites, live music, photobooths and an art gallery, and wine and food pairing education. The event is 21+ and chairs and blankets are allowed. Tickets are $30.
Azumi, 4444 Westheimer, will host a Bluefin Tuna Carving Experience on Thursday, March 20 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy champagne on arrival, live tuna carving, fresh hand rolls and nigiri from two chef stations, premium sake pairings and a decadent dessert station. Tickets are $120 including gratuity.
The Nach-Yo Ordinary Tequila Tasting returns on Thursday, March 20, held at The Woodlands Country Club, 100 Grand Fairway, from 6 to 9 p.m. For $45, ticketholders can enjoy an all-inclusive experience featuring 30+ craft tequila selections, specialty cocktails, tasty eats, door prizes and more. h
Grassroots fundraising event Empty Bowls Houston returns for the 19th Annual event at Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, 4848 Main, on Saturday, March 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.Attendees can peruse 1,500-plus one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted bowls made and donated by Houston area ceramists and craft artists, available for $25 per bowl (100 percent goes to Houston Food Bank and its efforts to fight hunger). Guests can also expect artist demonstrations, live music in the garden, and all who purchase a bowl can enjoy Salata and Katzโs Coffee while supplies last.
