Arnaldo Richards’ Picos Restaurant, 3601 Kirby
For $28, guests can get The Grind Burger and Ruby Lalo Rita Combo, featuring a half-pound Wagyu patty on a challah bun with provolone, lettuce, tomato, caramelized red onion, special sauce and pickle, served with a shaker of the Ruby Lalo Rita.
Christian’s Tailgate, multiple locations
The fan-favorite sports bar will offer Burger Baskets with fries for $10, featuring its signature ⅓-pound burger on a fresh toasted bun, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, mayo and mustard.

This Conservatory Galleria spot is honoring National Burger Month by offering Houstonians a BOGO special on its popular $15 Clutch Burger, double smash patties with cheese topped with lettuce, tomato, onion and its legendary Clutch sauce. Though Doris typically reserves its famous Doris Burger for happy hour; the steakhouse will offer the special burger, featuring a brioche bun, smoked gouda and truffle fries, all day long on National Burger Day.

For one day only, the buzzy Creole-Cajun gem will offer its Eunice Cheeseburger — featuring b&b pickles, red onions, dijonaise and liberally seasoned fries – and a 16-ounce Lone Star Beer for $29.

Skip the fish tacos and go for the happy hour Fish Co. Double Burger – a double smashburger with Akaushi patties, cheese, onions, house pickles, shrettuce and secret sauce on a sesame seed bun – offered for $6 until 6 p.m.
FM Kitchen & Bar, 1112 South Shepherd
FM serves $5 burgers every Tuesday, however, in honor of Burger Day, the kitchen and bar will be extending the deal to Wednesday. Get the four or eight-ounce burger with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and shhh sauce on a potato bun, or the Smash Burger, available single or double, with a smashed signature patty, American cheese, caramelized onions, grilled jalapenos, house pickles and shhh sauce on a potato bun.

The smash burger features vine-ripened tomatoes, lettuce, caramelized onion, cheddar and fontina and house dressing on a brioche bun. Choose from Coors Light and Michelob Ultra or get a Stella Artois or Blue Moon for an additional buck.
Monkey’s Tail, 5802 Fulton
Monkey’s Tail will offer its 99-cent Chango Burgers all day. Available single or double, the Chango Burger is served smashed with American cheese, chopped onions and pickles, and Valentina mayo on a sesame bun.
Morton’s, 1001 McKinney, 5000 Westheimer, 25 Waterway
All May long, Morton’s is offering a Wagyu Smash Burger and a glass of Faust ‘Liberation’ for $39. The burger comes with three premium Wagyu beef patties, layered with sliced cheddar cheese, housemade burger sauce, dill pickles and grilled red onions, nestled in a brioche bun and served with a side of matchstick fries or thick-cut onion rings.

For the entire month of May, The Palm is offering a Wagyu Truffle Burger for $19 and guests can add a glass of Palm curated wine for $32. The Truffle Burger is made with premium wagyu beef, savory tomato jam and The Palm’s signature creamy truffle sauce.

The Pit Room is firing up a $10 Burger Combo, featuring its signature wood-grilled cheeseburger, stacked with melty American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and a swipe of mayo and served with golden fries and a non-alcoholic drink.
Proper: A Burger Spot, 712 Main
The hot new Finn Hall concept has launched a Burger Challenge in honor of National Burger Day, running now through May 31. Folks are invited to down a five-patty smashburger, a double order of beef fat cooked fries, and a classic ice cream float within 5 minutes, 28 seconds. Those who complete the challenge will receive it free of charge and earn a spot on the Proper Wall of Fame, while those who fail are responsible for the $45 price tag.
