The Pancake Princess: This week, Erika made one of her most loved breakfast dishes, pannenkoeken, a.k.a. Dutch pancakes, or crepes. She reminisces about how each person in her family would top these light, delicate pancakes her father used to make when he was a kid. Her brother topped his with Nutella and her sister always alternated between maple syrup and Nutella, but Erika has upgraded them by topping with berries, peanut butter and whipped cream.
Hank On Food: Hank visited Luigi's Pizzeria in Bellaire and gorged on a fresh, perfectly sauced pizza and sweet, creamy gelato with his kids. Half of the pizza was topped with Supreme toppings and the other half was covered with fresh basil and chunks of tomato. Hank and his children took home leftovers so they could have a cup of gelato for dessert, making for a satisfyingly tasty and filling lunch.
Houston Food Truck Reviews: Whole Foods Market's food truck offers a variety of sweet and savory crepes, as well as a few small bites to eat. David Sarkozi ordered the $4 Kenya crepe filled with sweet potatoes, collard greens, githeri (stew of beans and maize), tomatoes and onions. This vegan crepe is thin, fluffy and filled with an interesting mix of Kenyan ingredients. He also ordered the $3 beet tots, which he describes as "Christmas turds," but that doesn't reflect their overall flavor. Shredded beets are used instead of potatoes to make these tasty tots.

While most contributors mentioned international locations, such as Tokyo, Tel Aviv and Copenhagen, as the best cities to visit for excellent food, Amanda Kludt, Eater Editorial Director, says, "Houston was everything it was hyped to be."
