5-Spice Lamb Ribs Where to get them: Lillo & Ella, 2307 Ella

A bowl of plump and absolutely luscious lamb ribs get the royal treatment with a sweet and toasty five spice rich with hints of anise, cinnamon, and cloves. The bowl is served with a bright slaw that helps cut through the fattiness of the meat.

Vindaloo Tacos Where to get them: Fusion Taco, 801 Congress

The warm flavors of the East meet the Southwest at this gourmet taco truck and brick-and-mortar shop. We can't get enough of the short rib vindaloo tacos. Ten Spice Chicken Wings Where to get it: Bismallah Cafe, 5702 Hillcroft

If you think five spice is good, owner Inam Moghul's signature "ten spice" blend -- which coats everything from tater tots to chicken wings -- will knock your socks off. No really, the seriously hot Pakistani blend may knock yours socks off. Moghul remains mum on the 10 spices that go into the mix, but he will adjust the heat levels as you please.

Chai Pie Where to get it: Pondicheri, 2800 Kirby Ste B132

This super indulgent pie -- an almost cheesecake like sweet spiced with cinnamon, clove, anise, ginger, and cardamom -- feels like you're eating a cup of chai tea. Garnished with a dollop of fresh whip and candied nuts, the dessert is a little piece of heaven.
