Hotel Granduca, 1080 Uptown Park, celebrates the season with three festive traditions: the Nutcracker Tea, complete with ballerina photo ops and elegant treats (December 6–7 and December 13–14); the hands-on Gingerbread Tea, where guests decorate their own gingerbread house alongside tea, sandwiches, and sweets (December 20–21); and a lavish Breakfast with Santa featuring a gourmet buffet and a meet-and-greet in The Library (December 14). Nutcracker and Gingerbread Teas are $150 per adult and $75 per child, while Breakfast with Santa is $125 per adult and $55 per child. Reservations are available via OpenTable.
Etoile Cuisine et Bar, 1101-11 Uptown Park, is celebrating National Bouillabaisse Day a little early this year, serving chef Philippe Verpiand’s epic Provencal fish stew as an off-menu special on Friday, December 12. Expect bowls loaded with shrimp, fresh-caught snapper, sea bass and mussels, plus an aioli crostini. The dish runs $34 at lunch and $44 at dinner.
Kenny & Ziggy’s, 1743 Post Oak, is once again making Chanukah easy with four holiday packages and a huge à la carte menu available for pickup or nationwide shipping when the holiday begins at sundown on Monday, December 15. Options include the $235 Family Dinner with soup, matzo balls, apricot-roasted chickens and brisket; the $275 Tel Aviv Package with hummus, matbucha, glazed salmon and potato pancakes; the $210 Lox and Latkes spread; and the $345 Deli Feast with a full deli tray, side and house-baked rye. The à la carte menu offers dozens of latkes by the dozen, soups, dairy dishes, classic mains like stuffed cabbage and brisket, and more than a dozen desserts. Orders are due 72 hours in advance by Friday, December 12.
Sof Hospitality is celebrating Hanukkah across its restaurants starting Sunday, December 14, with nightly traditions and holiday treats. Hamsa will lead the lighting of the menorah each night at 6:30 p.m., alongside specials on sufganiyot and latke. Doris Metropolitan and Októ will offer their own spins on the classic latke, with caviar at Doris and mini versions with smoked salatim and caviar at Októ. Badolina Bakery rounds things out with fresh sufganiyot and an array of Mediterranean pastries, available individually or by the half dozen or dozen.
Katami, 2701 Westheimer, is hosting a one-night-only Feast of the Seven Fishes dinner on Monday, December 15 at 7 p.m., reuniting chef Manabu “Hori” Horiuchi with chef Seth Siegel-Gardner for an eight-course, seafood-forward benefit dinner for Southern Smoke Foundation. The menu features octopus terrine, nigiri, seafood-stuffed ravioli, scallop and eel, Italian-inspired cocktails, and wine pairings, with a cocktail hour kicking off the evening. Only 30 seats are available.. Tickets are $350++.
