The Bayou City Po-Boys on Parade, presented by Blue Plate Mayonnaise, brings a citywide Houston celebration of the iconic New Orleans sandwich with limited-time po’boys at six local restaurants. The series kicks off at Blood Bros. BBQ (March 12, noon to 2 p.m.); followed by Winnie’s (March 19, 4 to 6 p.m.), Killen’s in the Heights, (March 25, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.); BB’s White Oak (March 26, 4 to 6 p.m.); Josephine’s (April 1, 5 to 10 p.m.); and wraps at Eunice (April 2, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.) with a crawfish boil from 3 to 6 p.m. Each pop-up serves po’boys with lettuce, tomato, pickles and Blue Plate mayo, and Blue Plate merchandise will be available while supplies last.
Now through March 31 during brunch, lunch and dinner, Brennan’s of Houston, 3300 Smith, is celebrating 59 years with a $67 Anniversary Menu featuring the restaurant’s elegant Creole and Gulf Coast cuisine. The three-course prix fixe menu includes beloved dishes such as Turtle Soup, Pecan-Crusted Gulf Fish and Demi Strawberry Shortcake, all served with the signature Brennan’s hospitality. 13 Celsius, 3000 Caroline, will host the Vino Vero x Feges BBQ Italian Wine Show – a private, ‘walk-about’ Italian wine show that pairs Feges BBQ’s signature Texas smoke with the flavors of Italy – on Tuesday, March 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. Vino Vero Wine Co. will be on site to pour 20+ exceptional wines alongside passed bites of burnt ends and pimento cheese, a live carving station featuring brisket, turkey and Polish sausage, plus a full grazing table of mac and cheese, eloté and more to round it out. Tickets are $125.
On Tuesday, March 17 from 5 to 10 p.m., Bandista, 1300 Lamar, welcomes Dallas’ Bar Colette, a 2025 James Beard Award finalist for Best New Bar, for an exclusive one-night pop-up. Bar director Rubén Rolón will present five house cocktails, including Tucanone Bombolone, Oni, Meloncholy and Aku Aku, each crafted with inventive spirits, fresh ingredients and creative techniques. The Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center is hosting a Passover culinary class with chef Yotam Dolev, the executive chef of Hamsa and Októ, on Tuesday March 17 beginning at 7 p.m. Guests can learn how to create a stunning, showstopping dessert: a flourless rose malabi.
