Vegetarian Day is October 1, Celebrate with a Burger!

Omnivores, grab your favorite herbivore and head to The Counter. The Washington Ave. burger joint, as well as the Woodlands location, will be celebrating Vegetarian Day on Saturday, October 1, with their "Veg Out at The Counter" promotion. Customers will receive a complimentary mini veggie burger with any burger purchase.

The Counter's hand-made, in-house specialty veggie burger is made from brown rice, spinach, panko bread crumbs, mushrooms, onions, corn, black beans, zucchini, red bell peppers and carrots. The patty is vegan-friendly; all non-animal ingredients are cooked and stored separately.

The Counter's veggie burgers were selected as one of the best by The Washington Post and the Chicago Tribune.

As for meat-eaters, they can rest assured that the patties are made from all-natural, hormone and antibiotic-free meat, sourced from humanely raised and handled animals.

If you haven't been to The Counter yet, give it a shot. Their build-a-burger customizable menu, bright atmosphere, and friendly service make for a fun dining experience. Oh, and also? Don't skip the fries.
