Want To Eat Out for Thanksgiving This Year? Houston Restaurants Have What You Need

Thanksgiving will be here before you know it, so make sure you have plans to feed every hungry mouth in your family on November 28. A multitude of Houston restaurants are here to make this food-centric holiday less stressful by opening up their kitchens to do the cooking for you, and you know it's going to be a fantastic meal.

Check out the menu options from each of these restaurants and make a reservation as soon as possible - don't wait until the last minute!

benjy's on Washington 5922 Washington, 713-868-1131

The benjy's in Rice Village will be closed on Thanksgiving, but the Washington location will serve a three-course meal from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. for $38 per person. Start the meal with an early winter salad (persimmons, bibb lettuce and blue cheese) or hazelnut soup. Choose from chamomile-brined turkey breast with house-made cranberry sauce, vegetarian tamales with corn, raisins and pecans, honey-roasted pork chop or pan-seared local catch for the main entrée - each plate is served with butter-whipped potatoes and brown gravy, green bean casserole and challah dressing with chestnuts. Benjy's on Washington will also serve a pumpkin trifle, pecan pie and mom's chocolate cake for dessert.

Monarch Bistro at Hotel Zaza 5701 Main, 713-527-1800

For $55 per person, the Monarch Bistro inside Hotel Zaza will serve a three-course menu with sophisticated takes on Thanksgiving classics. Choose from spicy cold boiled shrimp with a cranberry chipotle remoulade, wild mushroom and truffle cream crepe, and a mixed-greens salad with roasted pumpkin, pomegranate, goat cheese, candied pecans and pumpkin seed vinaigrette. Second-course options include pumpkin ravioli, duck en mole rojo, market fish and Cajun-spiced turkey breast roulade with all the fixings. Enjoy pumpkin cheesecake with toasted pecans and caramel sauce, or caramel panna cotta for dessert.

Bistro des Amis 2347 University Blvd, 713-349-8441

Bistro des Amis will have two seatings on Thanksgiving Day, one at 12 p.m. and the other at 2:30 p.m. Start the meal with either a soup of the season or salad of the season, then enjoy turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, homemade cranberry sauce, green bean casserole and sweet potatoes (AKA all the fixings). Top it all off with a choice of pumpkin or pecan pie. Each dinner costs $48, and a meal for children 10 and under costs $12.

Bistro Provence 13616 Memorial Dr, 713-827-8008

From 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., Bistro Provence will serve a three-course Thanksgiving Day dinner, starting with either butternut squash soup with crème of ginger, or a salad of mixed greens, pears, walnuts and blue cheese. Next, you will have a choice of grilled Nova Scotia Salmon with asparagus risotto and sautéed squash for $24, roast beef with wild mushroom bordelaise, cauliflower purée, Brussels sprouts, onions and bacon for $25, or a roulade of turkey breast with sage and corn stuffing, sweet potatoes and green beans, ginger cranberry relish and giblet gravy for $19. End the meal with a slice of classic pumpkin pie or chocolate and cinnamon bread pudding.

The Federal Grill 510 Shepherd Dr, 713-863-7777

Reserve your family's spot at a noon or 2:30 p.m. seating at The Federal Grill for $48 per adult and $12 per child. The traditional menu includes a soup or salad of the season, followed by turkey, ham and all the fixings, and a choice of pumpkin or pecan pie for dessert.

Gabby's BBQ will serve Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. For just $10.49, fill your plate with mesquite-smoked hen turkey, sweet potato casserole or mashed potatoes, cornbread dressing, giblet gravy, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce and a dinner roll. End the meal with homemade cobbler (single serving for $1.79 or a large serving for $2.99), banana pudding (single for $1.49 or large for $2.79, a slice of pecan pie or pumpkin pie for $2.99.

Mockingbird Bistro Wine Bar 1985 Welch St, 713-533-0200

From 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., Mockingbird Bistro will offer a two-course Thanksgiving dinner with a selection of desserts for $59 per adult and $25 per child. For the first course, choose from a butternut squash soufflé with glazed shimeji mushrooms and toasted pepitas, jumbo lump crab and mascarpone risotto with smoked lardons and champagne beurre blanc, or a roasted beet salad with arugula, Texas goat cheese, basil oil and balsamic vinegar. Feast on classic herb-roasted turkey with Andouille stuffing, sweet potatoes, French green beans, cranberry/orange relish and giblet gravy; Roasted Virginia ham and crispy pork belly with organic spinach, apple/yam mashies and port wine/mushroom sauce; or lamb shank with creamy sundried tomato polenta and baby spinach braising au jus. Top it all off with a slice of pumpkin cheesecake with huckleberry sauce, chocolate pecan pie with vanilla bean ice cream or flourless chocolate cake with white-chocolate ice cream. Add a wine pairing for each course for $89.

Osteria Mazzantini 2200 Post Oak Blvd, Ste 140, 713-993-9898

The newly opened restaurant will be serving Thanksgiving lunch from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. for $59 per adult and $25 per child. Begin the meal with an antipasti of either creamy porcini and chestnut soup with pancetta, a tart greens salad with herbs, Parmigiano and prosciutto di parma, or a house-made pumpkin ravioli with brown butter, capers, Parmigiano and aged balsamico. Enjoy a classic turkey plate with an Italian twist: the leg is stuffed with prosciutto and mozzarella. This main course is served with garlic-mashed potatoes, charred Brussels sprouts, cranberry and orange relish and giblet gravy. Osteria Mazzantini will also serve a slow-cooked mostarda di Cremona glazed ham with sweet potatoes, sage and pancetta hash, wilted greens and a port wine jus, or a pan-seared New Zealand Oro king salmon with faro piccolo, green beans, lemon, garlic and pangrattato. Italian and American classics merge with the desserts, too. Enjoy a pecan pie with white chocolate gelato, a cranberry panna cotta, or pumpkin pie with brown-sugar gelato and candied pumpkin seeds.

Pappas Bar-B-Q All locations

From 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., Pappas Bar-B-Q will offer a Thanksgiving plate for $10.95. The plate includes hickory-smoked turkey and pit-smoked ham with cornbread stuffing, yams, green bean casserole, giblet gravy, cranberry sauce and a dinner roll.

Quattro - Four Seasons Hotel Houston 1300 Lamar St, 713-650-1300

Quattro will serve a Thanksgiving brunch from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., as well as a Thanksgiving dinner from 5:30 to 10 p.m. The brunch costs $79 per person and $25 per child 12 and under; children 5 and younger eat free!

The Quattro dinner costs $59 per adult and $29 per child. Start at the antipasti buffet for an assortment of cold pasta salads, vegetables, cheese, and fruit, as well as pumpkin soup with maple croutons and a tossed Romaine Caesar salad. Next, choose a plated entrée of either a brine-marinated turkey roulade, traditional stuffing with cranberry relish, root vegetable medley and Brussels sprouts, breaded crispy lamb chops with braised lentils and Sicilian caponata, or roasted Gulf snapper cioppino-style with wild mushroom ragout. Dessert will be served family-style; choose from a variety of pastries placed in the middle of the table.

Brennan's of Houston 3300 Smith St, 713-522-9711

Brennan's will serve a Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. for $60 per person. The meal includes a starter, entrée and dessert. Begin the feast with a holiday salad complete with Lollo Rosa lettuce, baby arugula, Lone Star chevre, caramelized onions and sundried tomatoes tossed in champagne vinaigrette, or a Southern Turducken Roulade (if turkey is your favorite part of Thanksgiving) of Hill Country quail, duck and heritage turkey served over a salad of Black Eyed peas, sweet potato greens and a cranberry-mustard vinaigrette. Choose from a variety of proteins for the main entrée, including blue crab-stuffed Texas flounder, Gulf Coast shrimp and grits, and the classic Herb Roasted American Turkey served with jalapeño corn pudding, molasses-roasted sweet potato and pumpkin purée, French beans, cognac giblet gravy and cranberry "jubilee" chutney. Because there's always room for dessert on Thanksgiving, Brennan's has a variety of sweet options: cardamom-spiced pumpkin pie, Brennan's traditional pecan pie, Mama Florence's carrot cake, lemon meringue pie and the Brennan's classic Bananas Foster ... tableside, of course.

Children also have a separate menu for $20. They can start with strawberries and cream or Brennan's turtle soup, followed by a smaller portion of the turkey plate, chicken strips and fries, filet of beef, or shrimp and fries. They also have a choice of Creole bread pudding or an ice cream sundae for dessert.

Rainbow Lodge 2011 Ella Blvd, 713-861-8666

From 11:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m., Rainbow Lodge will serve a three-course Thanksgiving dinner for $55 per person. Choose from items such as smoked-duck gumbo with Andouille sausage and rice pilaf, or a butter lettuce and arugula salad with roasted beets, feta cheese, almonds and a fig vinaigrette for the first course. Rainbow Lodge will also offer a variety of main entrées, including a South Texas Duo of venison loin medallion and wild boar chop with acorn squash, roasted garlic and gorgonzola tart, Brussels sprouts and bacon; southern roasted turkey with cornbread dressing, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, green beans, giblet gravy and cranberry relish; and seared halibut with buttered lump crab, and a Parmesan and roasted asparagus risotto. Indulge in croissant bread pudding, pumpkin pie in a jar and Texas pecan pie bars for dessert.

Ray's Grill 8502 FM 359 Rd S, 281-533-0099

Ray's Grill will serve breakfast, brunch and dinner items from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. for $35 per adult and $15 per child 4-12 years old. Feast on breakfast items such as bacon, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, eggs Benedict, and miniature Danishes and croissants, or have a chef prepare an omelet to order or make a Belgian waffle with all the fixings -- syrups, whipped cream and butter. Come later and enjoy more savory items: roasted Berkshire pork loin with forest mushroom demi, baked white truffle mac and cheese, as well as the traditional Thanksgiving dishes, including green bean casserole, country-style cornbread sage stuffing, stewed yams with brown sugar and marshmallows, and a traditional roasted turkey with giblet gravy and cranberries. Miniature holiday pies, cakes and homemade pumpkin ice cream will be available for dessert.

Sorrel Urban Bistro 2202 W Alabama St, 713-677-0391

Come for brunch, lunch or dinner at Sorrel on Thanksgiving; food will be served from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Brunch offerings include cheesy-buttermilk biscuits with roasted quail gravy and butternut squash relish, shaved turkey breast Benedict with a poached egg and sumac hollandaise, and crispy soft shell crab with local greens and a pan-fried egg. If the family wants to enjoy Thanksgiving lunch or dinner, come a little later in the day and feast on appetizers such as seared scallops with roasted pumpkin purée and chervil salad, roasted pumpkin-mascarpone tortellini with walnut brown butter or grilled Texas quail with cranberry relish. Sorrel will also serve braised rabbit-leek soup with crispy pastry and carrot slaw and a local green salad with dried cranberries, goat feta, poached egg and lemon vinaigrette. Entrée options include seared turkey breast with sundried tomato polenta, dried cranberry pan jus and leek relish; roasted game hen with rutabaga gratin, citrus buerre blanc and local green salad; and house-made pappardelle pasta with roasted tomatoes, local squash and vegetable jus. Add a few side item such as pan-roasted pumpkin with pistachios and fennel pesto, or green beans with walnuts and sage-brown butter. Top the meal off with a chocolate torte and pistachio ice cream or toasted almond brown butter ice cream with dried fruit bark.

Piatto Ristorante 11693 Westheimer Rd, Ste 120, 281-759-7500

Piatto will serve a traditional Thanksgiving menu until 3 p.m. for $25 per person, or $14 for children 10 and younger. The menu offerings include a Waldorf salad, roasted turkey with butter and herbs, old- fashioned cornbread dressing, giblet gravy, sweet potatoes, cranberry orange relish, green beans with breadcrumbs and Romano cheese, and, of course, pumpkin pie.

024 Grille 945 Gessner Rd, 281-501-4350

024 Grille will serve a Thanksgiving brunch from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Breakfast and small-plate offerings include pastries, muffins, corn bread, a cheese board, a charcuterie board, omelet station, salad station and seafood station. Enjoy a glazed whole roasted turkey from the carving station, or a variety of hot entrées and sides such as sage stuffing, French long bean casserole, sweet potato casserole and pan-seared sea bass with Meyer lemon buerre blanc. Save room for dessert, too! 024 Grille is offering a chocolate fountain with strawberries, pineapple, marshmallows, bananas and dried apricots to dip, chocolate pecan pie, pumpkin bread pudding with a bourbon cream cheese glaze, and caramel apple pie. Adults eat for $55, seniors for $45, children 6-12 years for $25, and children 5 and under eat for free.

Au Petit Paris 2048 Colquitt St, 713-524-7070

Au Petit will serve a three-course Thanksgiving dinner for $39.95 per person. First-course selections include homemade foie gras terrine with a spring mixed salad and black truffle infusion vinaigrette and fresh toasted brioche (although the bread is $4 extra), homemade crab cake salad with a remoulade sauce and traditional French Burgundy escargot in a puff pastry shell. The main-course options include slow-braised beef cheeks with a chive puree de pomes de terre, glazed carrots and broccoli, Australian lamb shank cooked in a broth with creamy Parmesan Reggiano polenta, and, of course, slow-roasted farm-raised turkey breast with old fashion-style bacon stuffing, cranberry sauce, homemade gravy with mashed sweet potatoes and French green beans. Finish the meal with a slice of blackberry and caramelized apple cheesecake, homemade nougat ice cream with caramelized nuts and red fruit coulis or chocolate love cake with vanilla English cream.

Each Americas and Churrascos will serve a Thanksgiving brunch buffet from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Along with more than 60 Cordua classic dishes, each restaurant will offer pumpkin and chorizo empanadas, maple glazed ham with spiced pecans, ahi pepper-rubbed turkey, pumpkin spice tres leches and endless Bloody Marys, mojitos, margaritas, sangria and mimosas.

Artisans Restaurant 3201 Louisiana St, 713-529-9111

Begin your Thanksgiving meal at Artisans with an amuse bouche of Southwest warm oyster with corn bread, chorizo and jalapeño, followed by potato soup with jumbo lump crab cake, tarragon crème fraiche and tobiko, and port-braised short ribs with goat cheese ravioli, creamy bordelaise and carrot ribbons. Main courses include pan-seared Alaskan halibut and a potato pancake, roasted turkey breast with cream of mushrooms and cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, green beans and giblets dressing. Enjoy pumpkin opera cake with bourbon ice cream for dessert.

The family-style Italian restaurant, Buca di Beppo, is serving meals for three or six people on Thanksgiving Day. The menu includes white meat turkey with gravy, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, whole-berry cranberry sauce, spicy Italian sausage stuffing and miniature chocolate chip cannolis. The small portion (feeds three) costs $49.95 and the large portion (feeds six) costs $89.95. Add a small portion of any pasta (spaghetti marinara, ravioli al pomodor, fettuccine alfredo or baked ziti) for $12.95, or a large portion for $18.95.

Daily Grill 5085 Westheimer Blvd, Suite 3125, 713-960-5997

The Daily Grill, inside the Galleria, will serve a three-course prix fixe menu for $39.75 per person. The meal includes a starter Caesar salad or butternut squash soup, one entrée and one dessert. Entrée options include the classic roasted turkey breast with gravy, stuffing, red skin mashed potatoes, glazed carrots and cranberry sauce; pan-seared salmon with spinach and mushrooms; lemon chicken breast with roasted vegetable risotto; and filet Wellington with mushroom duxelles and spinach mashed potatoes. Choose apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream or a harvest spice bread pudding with butternut squash, apples, raisins and whiskey sauce for dessert.

Gaido's 3900 Seawall Blvd., 409-762-9625 x4

Spend the day near the Gulf this Thanksgiving and have a festive lunch at Gaido's. Traditional Thanksgiving items will be served buffet style from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Expect Gulf Coast-style dishes, cocktails and wine specials. The regular dinner menu will be served starting at 5 p.m.

Ruth's Chris Steak House 6213 Richmond Ave., 713-789-2333

Ruth's Chris Steak House will serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner complete with three courses for $36.95; children 12 and under eat for $12.95. Start with Louisiana seafood gumbo, a Caesar salad or Steak House salad, followed by sliced oven-roasted turkey breast with homemade gravy, Ruth's sausage and herb stuffing, and cranberry relish. Add mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green beans or creamed spinach to each plate, then round out the meal with pumpkin cheesecake and vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Smith & Wollensky Steakhouse 4007 Westheimer Rd, 713-621-7555

For $49 per adult and $20 per child 12 and younger, the entire family can enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving menu with roasted butternut squash soup, a winter greens salad with poached cranberries, green apples, hazelnut granola and apple cider vinaigrette. Feast on herb-roasted turkey with a sausage and cornbread stuffing, cranberry relish and giblet gravy for the main entrée, and add family-style side dishes, including roasted Brussels sprouts, potatoes au gratin and duck fat-roasted root veggies. Choose from pumpkin pie with cinnamon whipped cream, Apple Brown Betty with vanilla ice cream or classic pecan pie for dessert.
