New York Times today

that Houston's own Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital boasts one of the nation's lowest mortality rates for patients treated for heart attacks or heart failure.

The federal government analyzed some 5,000 hospitals. Four Texas hospitals - two in Fort Worth, one in Abilene and another in Texarkana - are listed among the hospitals where heart patients are most likely to die.
