Galveston Restaurant Week

All weekend long

Now through January 30, Galveston Restaurant Week returns with prix-fixe dining across dozens of the island’s best kitchens – from Gulf seafood dinners to Third Coast brunch and lunch options. Participating spots will offer two- and three-course dinners ($20–$60), two-course lunches ($10–$30) and brunch menus ($10–$40), with a portion of proceeds benefits local charities including the Galveston County Food Bank and St. Vincent’s House. Katie’s Seafood House, The Fancy and Rudy & Paco are just some of the restaurants in this year’s lineup.

Barrel-Aged Evening at Saint Arnold Brewing Company

Friday, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Held in the Beer Hall, Saint A’s annual Barrel-Aged Evening invites guests to taste a curated lineup of barrel-aged beers straight from the cellar. Other highlights include open pours from its regular beer lineup, hearty appetizers, a Barrel Room tour and take home a souvenir taster glass and 12-ounce bottle of barrel-aged Pumpkinator. Tickets are $80 all-inclusive. 

Yaga’s Chili Quest & Beer Fest

Saturday, 10 a.m. vendors open, noon chili tasting

23rd and Strand

Folks can sample award-winning chili from more than 50 cook teams, sip craft beer and spirits, and catch live music during the 17th annual Yaga’s Chili Quest & Beer Fest in Galveston’s Historic Strand District. The all-day event also includes the Beerfoot 5K run, a cornhole tournament, a jackpot margarita contest and a Strand merchant walk-about. Ticket options include Chili Tasting Tickets ($16+),  General Admission Beers & Cheers (24 two-ounce beer samples and four spirit samples, $43+), VIP and more.

Puerto Rican Festival at Pearland Town Center

Saturday, noon to 10 p.m.

Folks can head to Pearland Town Center for a day of Puerto Rican food, culture and music at the 2nd Edition of the Festival del Lechón, featuring slow‑roasted lechón asado, live DJs and performances, food vendors and a VIP experience with meal and drink included. Tickets start at $10; VIP options also available.

Dolly Day at Truck Yard

Saturday, starting at noon

Truck Yard’s Dolly Day celebration packed with fun, including Dolly Parton covers, a Dolly impersonator meet-and-greet from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m., a Doggie Parton costume contest at 5 p.m. and a Dolly & Jolene lookalike showdown at 7 p.m. Dress to sparkle, bring the pups and consider donating a children’s book to the on-site book drive benefiting the Houston Public Library — pins available while supplies last.
