Booze Let's be real: A lot of Pride Week revolves around revelry, and a party ain't a party without a few drunken anecdotes to retell during next year's festival. While there are a number of great gay bars in town, these spots don't specifically cater to the LGBT community. They all embrace the crowd, though, and will be great places to party throughout Pride Week.

Anvil Bar & Refuge 1424 Westheimer Open 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily Houston's first craft cocktail bar will no doubt be a popular stop on the way to Pride events throughout the week. During happy hour Monday through Friday from 4 to 5 p.m., all cocktails on the "100 List" are half off.

Boheme 307 Fairview Open Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.; Friday through Sunday, 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. Though the flatbread pizzas and smoked jalapeño hummus make Boheme a great place to eat, the cheap wine, beer and cocktails make it an even better place to drink. Grab your friends and relax on the sprawling patio with Boheme's frozen sweet tea cocktail, perfect for day drinking.

Hay Merchant 1100 Westheimer Open Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 2 a.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Because it shares a kitchen with Underbelly, Hay Merchant is as good a place to eat as it is to drink, but why fill up your belly with food when you can take advantage of one of the best craft beer lists in town?

Lola's Depot 2327 Grant Open 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily Lola's is consistently one of the cheapest bars in Montrose and also one of the weirdest. Come here when you're looking to save money and lose memories, in the best possible way.

Poison Girl 1641 Westheimer Open 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily Poison Girl feels similarly dive-y to Lola's, but the hipster bar happens to have one of the best selections of American whiskey in town. It can be hard to find a place to sit--either inside or out--on the weekends, so make friends with the random folks at a table and share the space. You'll be glad you did.
