Astros Open to Sellout Crowd

The Houston Astros hosted their season opener against the Colorado Rockies on Friday night, April 6th 2012. Veteran left hander Wandy Rodriguez made his first ever Opening Day start and pitched a solid game, but the home team gave up four costly errors, which lead the the 5-3 loss. The sellout game was played in front of 43,464 fans, and counted as the sixth consecutive Opening Day loss for the Astros. The team will be moving to the American League next year.
