Bay Area Troubadours Celebrate the Return of Galveston's ArtWalk

Bay area troubadours lifted the spirits of Galvestonians still on the mend with an evening of outdoor music Saturday night. Art-lovers came out in droves to explore the art galleries on Postoffice and the Strand district, while Galveston Arts Center time-shifted its popular ArtWalk due to Hurricane Harvey's uninvited appearance last month. Local musicians Tex Renner and Orren Lee Brooks performed at From the HeART Gallery, Anitra Jay entertained at MOD Coffeehouse, and Salty Sounds' Jim Kachelmeyer and Cory Geran kept the tunes going at The Style Company. The Dancing Queen Disco Bus blasted the night away as the party people tossed beads to the crowds. All photos by Treva Wygle.
