This year's CITGO Freedom Over Texas, Houston's official Fourth of July celebration, celebrated its 30th anniversary with a bang. It all went down at Eleanor Tinsley Park where Houstonians showed up early, got loud and stayed late to see the magnificent fireworks display. There was plenty to see and do: photo opps with military assets from the army, navy, air force, marines and police; enjoying bands on multiple stages; and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
