Hurricane Ike Slams into Galveston
Before the rains even arrived on Friday, September 12, many parts of the island were already underwater, and the Seawall and Stewart Beach were covered in rough water and flotsam. UPDATE September 13, 2014: Five years after Hurricane Ike roared through the area, photographer Daniel Kramer took the time to go back and see how much has changed since those dark days five years ago. By comparing these Hurricane Ike locations then and now, you can see how powerful the storm was.
