The Leagues Cup is an annual soccer tournament between clubs from Major League Soccer, the main soccer league in the United States and Canada, and Liga MX, the main soccer league in Mexico. The final match of Group N between Tigres UANL and Inter Miami squared off at NRG Stadium on Saturday evening. Tigres scored early and led the match 1-0 going into halftime. Inter Miami was awarded a penalty kick which was converted in the 74th minute. A late goal by Juan Pablo Vigón in the 84th minute secured a Tigres victory 2-1. This was essentially a home game for Tigres as most of the fans in the stadium wore the iconic yellow and blue representing the team from Monterrey, Mexico. Inter Miami was missing their superstar Lionel Messi who was out due to injury.
