The 2nd Annual Houston BBQ Throwdown!

The Houston Barbecue Festival and Saint Arnold Brewing Company coordinated the 2nd annual Houston BBQ Throwdown! It featured 14 of Houston's best barbecue restaurants competing to create the next great barbecue dish that represents Houston-style barbecue. Ticket holders were able to sample each of the barbecue competition entries as well as enjoy great Saint Arnold beer. Participating barbecue joints included: Blood Bros. BBQ, Brooks’ Place BBQ (Judge's winner from 2015), The Brisket House, Corkscrew BBQ (People's Choice winner from 2015), Feges BBQ, Midtown Barbeque, Pappa Charlies Barbeque, The Pit Room, Pizzitola’s Bar-B-Cue, Ray's BBQ Shack, and Roegel’s Barbecue Co, Tejas Chocolate Craftory, and Tin Roof BBQ.  After a tally of votes, the  “People’s Choice” award went to Feges BBQ, and a blind judging process featuring barbecue experts from around Texas named Killen's BBQ grand champion.
