Travis Scott's Astroworld Fest - 2019

Travis Scott's Astroworld Fest - 2019

More than 5,000 people trekked the NRG grounds on Saturday for the second annual Astroworld Festival starring Missouri City's own Travis Scott. The all-star guest list included appearances by comedian Dave Chapelle and Kanye West. Other acts included Houston's Megan Thee Stallion, international recording artist Rosalia, and shock-rock pioneer Marilyn Manson. The festival, taking its name from the former Houston theme park, Six Flags Astroworld, continued its amusement park theme with a funhouse, a vertical drop coaster, carnivals games, and a Ferris wheel. Despite long wait times, impatient fans jumping barriers, and sound malfunctions during the main act's sets, Scott made up for it with  his performance that included an elaborate stage setup that hoisted him above the sea of people.  (Photos by Jennifer Lake)
