The Houston version of the International Meeting of Styles took place on the walls of several buildings in the warehouse district east of Downtown, Houston over the weekend of September 25-27. Since its inception in Germany in the year 2002, Meeting Of Styles has grown to include over 75 events in sixteen countries across Europe, Russia and North America. The events have support hundreds of graffiti and street artists and have attracted more than 150,000 spectators. This is the third edition of the Houston Meeting of Styles, organized by Houston artist Pilot FX in conjunction with UP Art Studio. The goal of the Meeting of Styles is to create an international network of graffiti artists and aficionados in order to elevate street art towards the same acceptance and prestige as traditional and classical art.
