We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it’s time we paid some damn attention to them.
So we’ll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day’s work. Maybe two comments, even.
This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.
We wrote about HISD board member Manuel Rodriguez Jr., who sent out a political flyer noting that his opponent was endorsed by the GLBT Caucus, was 54 years old with no children and had a “male partner.”
We called it anti-gay; one reader asked if the statements were false and said, “The flyer I received made no mention of hating gays.”
To which another reader had a reply.
