Houstons 29th annual Festa Italiana is a celebration of Italian culture, music and of course food. Entertainment will include grape-stomping and pasta-eating contests, a bocce ball tournament, tarantella folk dancing, live music from the Cugini Band and Doppelganger, an Italian sports-car show and childrens activities. And though the current venue doesnt have the open-air ambience of a real Italian street festival like it did when it was held downtown, at least there are no pigeons to add any unwanted toppings to your meatball parmigiana sandwich.
