Looks like Debbie Riddle, R-Tomball, managed to inject a little religion into what apparently had been Godless Texas classrooms before last night. Her bill to add “under God” to the Texas pledge passed the House by a vote of 124 to 5.
The reps stayed late last night, each taking his or her turn going on record in support of the G-man. Good to know the Capital won’t get smote anytime soon. – Keith Plocek
