Funny thing about the apocalypse — a lot of the time, it looks pretty awesome. That’s the idea behind FrenetiCore and the Houston Zombie Walk’s upcoming Apocalypse Ball. In the name of raising funds for the annual Fringe Festival, which showcases all the cutting-edge performance art the city has to offer, celebrants are encouraged to attend an evening of performance and dancing in their best postapocalyptic outfits — wrestled away from murder mutants or welded from the remains of our robot overlords, of course.

The night’s festivities include a burlesque show, dance from FrenetiCore and China Cat, and an art showcase. Be sure to stop by and admire the works of Bret Harmeyer and Rachel Moriendi. The gothic duo specializes in disturbingly anatomical works that haunt the mind for hours after viewing. VIP ticket holders receive unlimited food and drink as well as photo opportunities with the performers.
