NASA Astronaut Celebration at Space City Birria
Space City Birria, T415 Milam, is celebrating the return of NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore after nineย long months in the cosmos at the International Space Station, offering a special promotion in honor of our hometown heroes. A Night with Toni Tipton-Martin at Julep
This Womenโs History Month, Julep, 1919 Washington, will host a special evening in honor of Womenโs History Month, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The acclaimed cookbook author and culinary historian Toni Tipton Marti will join award-winning Julep owner Alba Huerta for a celebration of Toni’s new book, When Southern Women Cook. Tickets are $35 plus tax and include two cocktails and a light bite. Add a copy of Martin’s book for an additional $43.30 plus tax.
Matthiasson Wine Dinner at The Marigold Club
The Marigold Club, 2531 Kuester, will host Napa Valley winemaker Steve Matthiasson for an intimate dinner featuring his rare, limited-production wine paired with a four-course menu from chef-partner Austin Waiterโwho shares a personal connection with Matthiasson and his wife, Jill. The night kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with a Champagne toast. Tickets are $295 per person.

Duckhorn Wine Dinner at Marvinoโs Italian Steakhouse
Marvinoโs Italian Steakhouse, 24002 Northwest Freeway, invites guests to a luxurious Duckhorn Wine Dinner at 7 p.m. The evening features pairings such as snapper ceviche in leche de tigre paired with Decoy Limited Brut Rosรฉ; colossal shrimp scampi with Sonoma-Cutrer Chardonnay; filet in black truffle demi-glace with Migration Pinot Noir; and chocolate lava cake with Decoy Limited Cabernet Sauvignon. Mutiny Wine Room, 1124 Usener, brings the flavors of Spain to Houston with its next Paella Sunday, a live-fire culinary experience featuring chef Eduardo Alcayagaโs signature paella cooked fresh on the patio. Guests can sip wine and enjoy appetizers before indulging in the flavorful dish, with seatings available at 1, 4 and 6:30 p.m. Cost is $38 per person, with optional wine pairings starting at $15 by the glass.
Fire & Ice Omakase at Hidden Omakase
Hidden Omakase, 5353 West Alabama, is partnering with Montrose record bar and kitchen 93โ Til for a one-night-only Fire & Ice Omakase experience, with seatings at 5 and 7:30 p.m. Each meticulously prepared course will celebrate a harmony of contrasts, showcasing the interplay of cooked and raw, heat and chill,and intensity and delicacy. In celebration of 58 years, Brennanโs of Houston, 3300 Smith, will offer a $58 three-course Anniversary Dinner Special. The menu includes favorites such as Crawfish Bisque or demi Shrimp Remoulade to start, choice of Beef Tournedos Stanley or Shrimp Creole for the entree, and Praline Parfait with Praline Sauce or Brennanโs iconic Creole Bread Pudding for dessert. Guest Chef Taco Collaboration: Truth BBQ at Little Rey
Little Rey, 2345 Mid Lane, is launching a new monthly guest chef taco collab series, with a special taco created by a rotating local chef featured and 100 percent of its proceeds going to Southern Smoke Foundation to benefit food and beverage workers in need. The series kicks off in March, with Truth BBQโs Leonard Botello IV crafting a smoked beef cheek with a Pasilla Oaxaca sauce.
Spring Break Kids Eat Free at State Fare Kitchen & Bar

From March 25 through April 22, Toro Toro, 1300 Lamar, hosts Viva Abejas (meaning โlong live beesโ in Spanish), a month-long campaign designed to spread awareness of the importance of bees to the food system. Guests can enjoy bee-centric food and drink specials, such as Coconut Tuna Ceviche with orange blossom honey; Braised Short Ribs, glazed and braised in honey; Honey Cheesecake, flambรฉed in Alma Finca Orange Liqueur; and Honey Lavender Margarita, each benefiting the World Bee Project.
