Saddle up, Houston! Rodeo season is officially here, with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo going full cowboy from March 2–22 (and the World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest kicking off the fun February 26–28). Beyond the official rodeo action, the city comes alive with pop-ups, cocktails and limited-time eats all season long – think brisket cupcakes, rooftop rodeo cocktails, Go Texan Day celebrations, and late-night rodeo bites that turn the city into one big, smoky, sweet fiesta. Here’s where to chow down and drink up like a true Texan:
Autry Park, 3737 Cogdell
On Thursdays–Saturdays now through March 7, the Rodeo Ready Pop-Up at Autry Park transforms the development into a vibrant hub for retail, culture and lifestyle. Each weekend brings something new, with complimentary ranch waters, hat and boot branding, jewelry engraving, bolo and belt design, vintage denim fittings, live music and line dancing lessons, tequila tastings, Texas Mahjong, and Dolly-inspired yoga in the park. Featured events include the Rodeo Ready Sip + Stroll on February 26 and Go Texan Day on February 27.
Brasserie 19, 1962 West Gray
From February 26–March 22, Brasserie 19 introduces Wild, Wild, West Gray, featuring specialty rodeo cocktails and rotating chef-driven food specials.
Berg Hospitality Group is serving up The Outlaw Menu, a limited-time pre-rodeo three-course prix fixe for diners who want an elevated, convenient meal before hitting NRG Stadium. Guests can enjoy a $55 three-course menu at Prime 131, Annabelle Brasserie, The Annie Café & Bar, and B&B Butchers, or $39 at Trattoria Sofia and B.B. Italia, with signature dishes and rodeo-inspired cocktails like Ranch Water, Ranch Rita and Espresso Ranchtini.
Buttermilk Baby, 600 North Shepherd
Berg’s Hospitality’s fast-casual spot in M-K-T is celebrating March with playful limited-time offerings inspired by Rodeo season. Guests can try the Carnival Crunch soft serve (12 oz $8.99, 16 oz $9.99), a sweet-and-salty treat featuring popcorn-flavored soft serve swirled with colorful M&M’s.
Crave Cupcakes, Kirby, 5600 Kirby, 1151 Uptown Park; Truth BBQ, 110 South Heights
Crave and Truth have teamed up on a Smoke & Honey Cupcake, available from February 26 through March 22 from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. at Crave (weekdays) and Truth BBQ (weekends).
The cupcake features a corn base topped with Truth smoked brisket, bbq sauce frosting and a candied jalapeño for $8 on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Dandelion Cafe, 611 West 22nd, 5405 Bellaire
Dandelion Cafe is teaming up with Blood Bros. BBQ for a limited-time Rodeo season collaboration, available March 2 through 22 at both Dandelion locations. The partnership brings Texas flavor and elevated breakfast comfort together in the Breakfast Brisket Hash, made with Blood Bros.’ 20-hour smoked brisket, sautéed bell peppers, pickled onion and crispy country potatoes, topped with a sunny-side-up egg and green onions for a bold, savory mash-up of smoky barbecue and signature brunch style.
EZ’s Liquor Lounge,3302 White Oak
On Saturday, February 28, EZ’s hosts the Lone Star ‘All Hat, No Cattle’ Rodeo Party, featuring a Feges BBQ whole hog roast, mechanical bull, Lone Star beer specials and Texas vendors. The fun kicks off at 2 p.m.
Gatlin’s BBQ, 3510 Ella; Pho Prime, 9240 Broadway, 11209 Bellaire
Galtin’s and Pho Prime have teamed up for two exclusive rodeo-ready specials, available from March 2 through 22 at both restaurants. Try the Texas Pho Dip with Gatlin’s 10-hour smoked brisket on a toasted bolillo, garlic herb butter, spicy aioli, pickled onions, and fresh herbs, served with pho broth for dipping. The Pitmaster’s Pho features the same brisket in a rich broth made with beef knuckle, short rib, brisket, and oxtails, topped with basil and cilantro.
Goode Company, multiple locations
Goode Co. is celebrating Rodeo season with limited-time specials and live music across its concepts. All Goode Co. Barbeque locations will offer the Southern Smoke Full Tilt Smoky Dog – topped with chopped brisket, crushed barbecue chips, cheddar and house pickles – with proceeds benefiting the Southern Smoke Foundation. The Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie also returns early March 1 through May 31 with optional Rodeo-themed “Saddle Up” lids. At Goode Co. Armadillo Palace, Cook-Off Weekend brings late-night shows February 26–28 in partnership with Lone Star Beer, featuring Vinyl Ranch, Silverada and Joshua Ray Walker (10 p.m.; $25 advance, $30 day-of); and Sunday, March 1 brings a Texas Independence Day Celebration. Additional Rodeo season activations at Armadillo Palace include armadillo races 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. on Saturday, March 7 and 14, Bar Buena late-night DJs on March 7, 15 and 21, and The Hat Store and THS Ranch Experience pop-ups. At the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo grounds, look for the Hometown Hero Sandwich, Pitmaster Baked Potato and Loaded Mac and Cheese at the Goode Co. booth.
Hotel ZaZa Memorial City, 9787 Katy Freeway
Hotel ZaZa Memorial City is celebrating Rodeo season with Saturday pop-ups and a limited-time menu of rodeo-inspired food and drinks through the end of March. Highlights include custom hats by A. Botts Willis on March 7, Spark Jewelry Co. on March 14, and custom embroidery by Glamourlyss Design on March 21. While shopping, guests can enjoy the ZaZa Smokey Margarita alongside shredded BBQ pork sliders, cowboy queso, brisket-loaded baked potatoes, cowboy casserole and more.
Jethro’s Cocktail Lounge, 95 Tuam
Jethro’s Cocktail Lounge offers late-night Rodeo specials all March, Sunday–Thursday from 8 to 10 p.m. and Friday–Saturday from 10 p.m. to midnight,, including $7 Rodeo Burgers, 7 wings for $7, and $8 cocktails and wine by the glass.
Latuli, 8900 Gaylord
Latuli offers a pre- and post-concert rodeo party bus with food specials, cocktails, and themed activations on select nights. The 28-passenger shuttle runs March 4, 12, 16, and 18-20, with tickets at $100 per person including round-trip transportation to NRG Stadium and cocktails like ranch water and margaritas. Shuttle nights feature Chicken Fried Steak, Bacon-Wrapped Quail, Corn Dog Trio, and rotating activations including branded cups, photo booths and boot shining.
Molina’s Cantina, multiple locations
From March 2-22, folks can dig nto Molina’s Jalapeño Chicken Fried Steak, a top round steak seasoned with a house taco blend, double-dredged in flour and egg, fried golden and crispy, then smothered in spicy cream gravy with roasted diced jalapeños. The plate comes with crispy fries and charro beans for $16.95
Ouisie’s Table, 3939 San Felipe
On Monday, March 2, guests can dig into Ouisie’s Original Chicken Fried Steak for $18 for lunch and $26 for dinner, or try the Chicken Fried Venison Steak for $35, both served with sides, and an optional Texas bourbon flight is $26.
Picos, 3601 Kirby
Picos is serving a specialty rodeo menu all March long, featuring dishes like Cowboy Steak, Veal Chop, and Mixiote Hidalguense, with cocktails such as the Royal Blackberry Mojito and Boot Scootin’ Rita. A $42 fajita feast feeds two to three people, and diners showing their 2026 Rodeo badge get a free large queso or queso flameado.
The Pit Room, 1201 Richmond; 10301 Katy Freeway
On Go Texan Day, Friday, February 27, both the Montrose and Memorial locations are throwing down with an all-ages patio party and free entry. Expect live DJs spinning country classics, a petting zoo and cotton candy at the Memorial outpost, plus a full crawfish boil alongside the regular lineup of brisket, ribs and all the fixings. There’s a full bar to keep things lively, and western wear is highly encouraged. Consider it your official pregame to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo — boots, belt buckles and all.

Pudgy’s teams up with Nan & Company Properties for a limited-edition collaboration cookie: The Giddy Up Cookie, a Rodeo-inspired twist on Pudgy’s fan-favorite, crafted with oats, chocolate, coconut and pecans. The cookie is $5 each, with boxes available for $20 (four-pack), $27 (six-pack), $35 (eight-pack), or $48 (dozen).
Thompson Houston, 1717 Allen Parkway
In honor of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, the hotel will host rodeo-themed spa treatments and a Western-themed rooftop pop-up in partnership with 818 Tequila, founded by Kendall Jenner, on March 14–15 and March 20–21 from 1–4 p.m., serving specialty rodeo cocktails, lawn games, themed merchandise, and more for pre-rodeo festivities.
Truth BBQ, 110 South Heights
At Garden & Gun’s Rodeo Smoke Show, Truth BBQ pitmaster Leonard Botello teams up with Ryan Lachaine of State of Grace, Bobby Matos of La Lucha and Seth Siegel-Gardner of Local Foods and Milton’s for a night of expertly smoked meats, Texas sides and desserts. Blade and Bow bourbon cocktails flow alongside live music, plus a Western-minded makers market featuring Lucchese, Manready Mercantile and Laura Goodson Art. General admission is $85, VIP $115 with early entry, off-menu bites and a curated gift bag.
Winsome Prime, 5888 Westheimer
Winsome Prime is offering a limited-time Rodeo Round-Up Special, available nightly during dinner March 1–15. The $39.99 plate features slow-smoked, fall-off-the-bone ribs, smoked sausage, and seasoned chicken, served with collard greens, creamy mashed potatoes and a warm cornbread muffin.
