Houston Greek Fest at St. Basil the Great Orthodox Church

Houston Greek Fest returns with three days of Greek food, pastries, live music, traditional dance performances, shopping and church tours. Festivalgoers can expect gyros, souvlaki, loukoumades and other Greek specialties alongside family-friendly activities and cultural programming throughout the weekend. Admission starts at $10, with kids 10 and under free.

Empty Bowls Houston at Silver Street Studiosย

The 20th annual Empty Bowls Houston returns with more than 1,500 handcrafted bowls donated by Houston-area ceramists, woodturners and artists, all benefiting the Houston Food Bank. Bowls start at a $25 donation โ€” enough to provide 75 meals โ€” with attendees also receiving a light lunch, water and a sweet treat while supplies last. The fundraiser will feature live artist demonstrations and music throughout the day, helping support an organization that has raised more than $1.2 million for hunger relief through the eventโ€™s history.

Small Placesโ€™ fourth annual Salsa de Mayo celebrates the start of Houston tomato season with a free community festival featuring salsa and vegetable competitions, live music, games and food vendors in the East End farm setting. The event is family-friendly and open to the public, with additional activities including a silent auction and salsa contest featuring local home cooks and growers.

Best Regards continues its two-part pop-up with Hot and Buttered, serving Cajun crawfish boils and cocktails from opening to closing.ย  Specials include live crawfish by the pound with customizable spice ranging from mild to the signature “lip burn”, alongside drinks like a Crawfish Bloody Mary, Frozen Paloma, Blood Orange Margarita and a Berry Spritz.

Benefiting the Southern Smoke Foundation, Josephineโ€™s hosts another guest chef for its epic Backyard Boil Series โ€“ this time, chef Evan Leroy of Austinโ€™s Lerow & Lewis BBQ. Crawfish will be priced by the pound and guests can secure spots via Resy.ย
