Downtown Houston celebrates the grand opening of the new Main Street Promenade with a free block party featuring live music, DJs, street performers, pop-up markets, food and drink specials, and family-friendly activities throughout the corridor. A ribbon cutting takes place at noon outside the Rice Hotel, while Main Street businesses join in with early openings and activations throughout the day.ย

Orchard teams up with Curd Culture for a guided cider and cheese pairing featuring five ciders matched with artisan cheeses. The tasting walks guests through how different cheeses interact with acidity, fruit and bubbles, without the stuffy wine-class energy. Tickets are $50 and space is limited.

Brewsology Beer Fest returns to HMNS, turning the museum into an after-hours craft beer festival with access to exhibits, science displays and beer tastings from more than 50 breweries and cideries. General admission starts at $60 and includes entry from 8 to 11 p.m. with unlimited samples, while early admission ($75) adds a 7 p.m. entry and specialty pours, and VIP tickets ($95) include early access, souvenir glassware and $30 in food credit. The event is ages 21 and up.

Running through June 15, AAPI Restaurant Weeks returns with more than 50 participating Asian American and Pacific Islander-owned restaurants offering special menu items, discounts and promotions through a digital dining pass. A minimum $15 donation unlocks the pass while supporting rice and care package donations for low-income Houston seniors. Participating spots include Agnes and Sherman, Aka Sushi and dozens more across the city.
