Best Thin Crust Pizza: Nonno’s

This Montrose pizza joint is a reminder that Chicago tavern-style pizza can hold its own in a city full of puffy, blistered pies. The crust is thin and cracker-crisp, topped with stretchy, melted mozzarella and chefy toppings: broccoli-garlic with lemony ricotta, hot sausage with giardiniera, and a Hawaiian style pie topped with Spam, pineapple and smoked jalapeño. Inside, the arcade games and Pizza Hut lamps make it feel like the kind of neighborhood pizza place you remember from childhood — if your childhood pizza came with frozen negronis and pickleback shots.
