The 9th Annual Traders Village Bluegrass Festival will go on rain or shine this weekend nothing can stop those fiddlers from taking the stage. This years performers include the nationally renowned Missouri group The Chapmans, a family band of three brothers and their dad. They play a mix of sad, slow songs and catchy ditties with quick banjo and fiddle playing. Also on the bill are New Mexicos Triple L Band and locals Harris County Line featuring Country Jim Sloan. Houston music fans know Country Jim as the proud papa of singers Miss Leslie and Hilary Sloan, but he gigs on his own quite a bit. (Hes sort of an unofficial goodwill ambassador for retro-country.)
