Former Texan Bobby Bradford, a jazz trumpeter/cornettist, was alongside Fort Worth saxophonist Ornette Coleman during the birth of free jazz in the 1960s. Bradford’s in town courtesy of Nameless Sound and will lead a raucous performance with Norwegian saxophonist Frode Gjerstad. Bradford and Gjerstad first collaborated in the 1980s. The pair of veterans are considered living legends by many in the avant-garde music scene. Austin-based bassist Ingebrigt Håker-Flaten and Chicago drummer Frank Rosaly will join the two onstage.
