BooTown returns in Grown-Up Storytime XV with tales by and for the audience. The monthly installment features members of the local theater troupe performing stories submitted via fan mail. As always, the group is working to the last minute (read: not by press deadline) and wonยt decide what will be read until just before the show. Past stories have ranged from elementary school tales about horses named Applejack, to modern folklore and myths, to R-rated testimonials about giving poison ivy to a stripper. But this round will include -spanking-new narratives, and thereยs no telling how the BooTowners will interpret each one: Lines might be omitted or added. The story could be told slam-poetry style, made into a tune or expressed through interpretive dance. Only one thing is certain ย this storytime wonยt put you to sleep. 10 p.m. Rudyardยs, 2010 Waugh.
