McGonigel’s Mucky Duck will have a little something different on the schedule today. It’s Boxing Day, and the British pub celebrates the holiday on a grand scale. There will be some music, sure, but there’ll also be a Feast of St. Stephen’s Day Mass in honor of the martyr most known for distributing goods to the needy. The service, with a real reverend and everything, will take place in the pub at noon. After that, it’s time to celebrate with a feast of their own including shepherd’s pie and roast pork. At 7 p.m. there’s an open mike to keep the party going as long as possible. Bring a donation for the Christian Community Service Center (food, clothes and -blankets are all welcome).
