It may seem odd to ring in the New Year with a celebration of two composers who died 250 years ago, but Ars Lyrica Houston, who specialize in baroque music, have found a way to make centuries-old music seem new. In tonightยs Clandestine Classics, theyยll perform lesser-known masterworks from Bach and Handel, including Bachยs Triple Concerto and Handelยs ยGloria.ย Soprano Melissa Givens and tenor Tony Bouttรฉ will join musicians on the violin, flute and harpsichord.
