Folks love to look at pretty pictures, especially if the pictures are of pretty things. Yesterday’s blog post that paired then-and-now photos of the luxurious seafront hotel The Galvez in Galveston prompted reader Mary to write:
The Galvez is an amazingly gorgeous structure. Thanks, George! It’s hard to believe we used to wear those long dresses and suits on the seawall, though.
