This is the first chance Houston will have to see comedian D.L. Hughley in concert since CNN canceled his show D.L. Hughley Breaks the News. Seems Hughleyยs brand of low-brow humor was a little too low for the news stationยs audience. (What? Calling the GOP political convention ยNazi Germanyย didnยt get enough laughs?) Admittedly, the show never found its footing. Was it news or was it comedy? Was it serious or was it parody? Hughley seemed to be on a tight leash, trying to be respectfully irreverent. The good news is that during todayยs appearance, heยll have no such constraints.
