There’s only one thing you really need to know about the Dรญa de la Hispanidad: 26th Annual Day of the Hispanic World festival – Cristian Castro. The Mexican singer/actor/heartthrob headlines the show. There are also plenty of folkloric dance groups performing, along with music and lots of other fun usually found at a festival, but the Grammy Award-nominated Castro is the main draw. A performer since he was a teen, he has a silky singing voice that’s mastered every style, from upbeat pop to ballads to mariachi torch songs. And the fact that he’s got one of the prettiest faces in Mexican show business makes his performance a must-see. (Castro is the son of Veronica Castro, also a singer/actor. Considered one of the most beautiful women in Mexico during her prime, she seems to have passed along her talents and good looks to her son in abundance.) 7:30 p.m. Miller Outdoor Theatre, 6000 Hermann Park.
